Directions to the Kona Winds
Kona Winds will be picking up charter groups at 3 different locations summer of 2006
Plaza of Nations Marina, Horseshoe Bay and Gibsons see directions below.
1) Plaza of Nations Marina - 750 Pacific Blvd. WEST DOCK
Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver off Main St. in the peaceful and sheltered waters of False Creek.
Skytrain: Get off at Stadium station and use lower station exit.
Driving:
- Go across the Cambie St. bridge and take the first exit off the bridge marked "Pacific Blvd, East & Plaza of Nations." Or, if coming from Downtown Vancouver Travel east on Pacific Blvd.
- Stay in the right lane and the Plaza of Nations is on the right side.
- About 50 yards past the main entrance - turn right and take an immediate right into the underground parking.
- Purchase a ticket from Impark
- The elevator or stairs will take you to the center of the Plaza.
- Outside you will see a large glass building and the Diamond Casino to the left.
- Proceed this way (east) and watch for an access road which parallels the water and takes you to the Marina
- Kona Winds will be at the dock on the WEST side of the Marina
Parking:
Numerous ground-level pay parking lots surround the Plaza of Nations Complex.
A 290-car underground parkade is situated beneath the Plaza of Nations. Operated by Imperial Parking (Impark), the parkade is located through Gate 9 on the right hand lane along the south side of Pacific Boulevard just east of the front entrance of the Plaza of Nations.
2) Gibsons BC
Follow Gower Point Road to Hyak Marine Service (fuel dock) - 377 Gower Point Road. Access from the street across from the Post Office.
3) Horseshoe Bay
Kona winds Loads at the Horseshoe Bay Public Wharf. Follow the waterfront to the north foot of Nelson Avenue. It is the large pier and docks between Boathouse restaurant and the public park.
